Our process is flexible depending on your needs, where they are in the planning process. However, here is a general idea of what to expect.
Our process
Step 1: Initial Contact
This first step is where we both share information about the project and requirements and about our process. This initial meeting will help establish if we are the right builder for you.
Step 2: Cost Estimate
The purpose of this initial cost estimate is to identify a general price before moving forward. There is a small fee for this cost estimate which will be credited to the build cost. This step helps to clarify the scope and desired outcomes of the project in preparation for a detailed fee proposal. This is a good time to contact your bank and ensure finance is approved as this can take up to 6 months with some projects. Finding the right source of finance is vital for project success.
Step 3: Detailed Proposal
We will prepare a detailed fee proposal including a project schedule Gantt chart and draft contract with progress claims. There is a small administration feel for this proposal which will also be credited to the build cost.
Step 4: Sign Contracts
Contracts are signed and the build start date is locked in.
Step 5: The Build
During the build process, we communicate regularly to ensure you are aware of the progress and decisions being made. Communication and meetings are more frequent at the beginning of project and at critical stages such as prior to internal sheeting or slab pours.
Step 6: Walkthrough
Near the very completion of the build, this step allows you to gain a complete understanding of all functional and aesthetic aspects of your home. We then complete a final inspection to ensure all deliverables are correct.
Step 7: After Service
We celebrate your competed new home! Our after service includes a number of regular touch points to answer any questions that may need addressing.
